Billing and plans
Plans, usage limits, and how billing is managed.
Vidext has two plans today: Free and Pro. Billing is managed per organization.
Billing is not yet generally available
Plans and billing are still being finalized and are not yet surfaced in the app — the entry point in organization settings is hidden today. The billing page described below exists, but you may not be able to reach it from the navigation yet.
Plans
- Free — for getting started: a single workspace with capped teams, modules, and generation usage. Enough to build and ship real modules and evaluate honestly.
- Pro — for teams running learning on Vidext: expanded limits across teams, modules, voices, and usage.
For larger organizations with requirements beyond Pro, talk to the Vidext team.
What the billing page shows
- Your current plan and subscription status, including the current period end and whether cancellation is scheduled.
- Live usage against your limits — teams and modules for the billing period.
Checkout and subscription management run through Vidext's payment provider; the subscription state you see always reflects the provider's records.
How limits behave
Plan limits (such as members per team or total modules) are enforced at the action: when adding the member or creating the module that would exceed a cap, you get a clear error rather than a degraded experience. Usage-based metering (like AI usage) accrues per billing period.
Billing actions need a fresh session
Sensitive actions, billing included, require a recently authenticated session. If you have been signed in a long time, Vidext may ask you to re-authenticate before changing billing — that is expected. See Sessions and authentication.
