Build, review, and publish
What the progressive build shows, how to review the draft, and when presenter video starts.
An explicit request to create a module moves straight from chat into production. Vidext creates and validates one source-grounded Markdown content plan, then the builder compiles the module-specific structure from it — without showing a separate outline panel or asking you to confirm the same request again.
What appears first
The complete Studio opens as soon as the build begins. Vidext fills its canvas progressively, prioritizing the parts you can review without waiting for all media:
- the chapter and scene structure;
- the layout chosen for each teaching job;
- the narrative and on-screen copy;
- quiz questions and other interactions.
Imagery and synthesized voice narration continue generating in the same background build. The canvas updates as each stage completes, and you can leave the page and return without losing your place. The result is a draft, visible only to your team. Building never publishes.
Plan-only requests do not build
If you ask for a plan, outline, or structure without asking Vidext to create the module, it presents that plan in chat and stops. A module is created only when your request explicitly asks to create or build one.
Review the real module
Review content as it arrives instead of approving an abstract representation first. Studio editing, Preview, and Publish unlock when the build completes successfully, so the builder cannot overwrite a change made against an incomplete scene. Then use chat to change scope, order, tone, or depth; select a scene or element when you want the next instruction to apply precisely.
Builds are checkpointed and retryable. If one fails, retrying continues from the internally approved plan and completed work rather than asking you to repeat the request.
Presenter video starts after Publish
The draft includes the reviewed narration, generated audio, and imagery, but not talking-presenter video. When the draft is ready, choosing Publish:
- freezes the current draft as the candidate version;
- renders presenter video for scenes that use presenter layouts;
- validates the complete result;
- makes that immutable version live only after verification succeeds.
Until then, learners continue receiving the previous published version. For a module's first publication, nothing becomes live if rendering or verification fails. Use Retry publish after resolving a retryable failure. See Draft and published.
After publication
Published content remains editable. Changes accumulate on the draft while learners keep receiving the immutable published version; publish again when the next revision is ready. See Editing published content.
