Certifications

Issue certificates automatically when learners complete a course, with a Standard profile or FUNDAE Spain for regulated training.

Use this page when a course has to produce a credential, not just a completion record: compliance training, a regulated qualification, or training funded through FUNDAE in Spain.

A course can issue a certificate to every learner who completes it, and keep the evidence an audit asks for. Certificates are issued automatically: once a course is set up, learners who finish it get theirs, along with an email.

Each course picks one profile. In the table, a live module is one learners can open now: its course is published, and the module was built and isn't withdrawn (see Publish a course).

ProfileWhat it needsWhich modules count
StandardNothing at the organization level: certificates use your organization's name and logo from General settings.Only the live modules. A hidden module neither blocks a certificate nor counts toward it. The course needs at least one live module.
FUNDAEThe organization's FUNDAE legal setup, each learner's DNI/NIE, and a course duration Vidext can measure from the published media.Every module in the course. While any of them is not live, nobody can be certified.
Off—New certificates are paused. Certificates already issued stay available.

Certification sits on top of progress

Vidext already tracks what each learner completed — see Enrollments and Competence vs completion. A certificate turns that completion into a signed document.

Set up FUNDAE for your organization

The Certificates section of the sidebar's Tools menu shows whether Standard and FUNDAE are on; for an organization admin it opens the same settings page.

Standard needs nothing here. For FUNDAE, an organization admin opens Settings → Certifications, opens FUNDAE Spain, and fills in the legal details every certificate carries:

  • Legal company name — the entity as it appears on the certificate.
  • CIF — the Spanish tax identifier.
  • Provider name — the training provider.
  • Company logo (optional) — JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF, up to 2 MB, used on certificates and evidence documents generated from then on.

Enable FUNDAE stays locked until the first three are filled in. Save, and the profile shows as Enabled.

Set up a course

Only organization admins set up a course's certificate. On Modules and courses, under Courses, open the course's menu, choose Certifications, and go to the Certification tab. Set up certification walks you through three steps:

Profile

Choose Standard, FUNDAE, or Off.

Certificate

The details printed on the certificate: an Action title and a Contents description (the course, module, and chapter-level contents). FUNDAE also asks for a Modality: Teleformación or Mixta. A course saved earlier as Presencial keeps it, but it is no longer offered.

Evidence package

For Standard, choose which documents a package download includes by default; they can be changed for each download. A FUNDAE package always includes all five.

Finish with Save configuration. To change it later, use Edit configuration; to stop issuing, choose Off.

Certification can be turned on only for a published course with at least one live module. FUNDAE also needs the organization profile enabled and every module of the course live. See Publish a course.

How certificates are issued

When a learner completes the course, Vidext checks that they are eligible, issues the certificate, and emails it to them. If something blocks them at that moment, they are issued one as soon as it is fixed — for example, when an admin adds a missing DNI/NIE or completes the organization's FUNDAE setup.

Each certificate is a snapshot of the facts that were true when it was issued, so a later change to your legal details or to the course does not rewrite a certificate someone already holds.

Organization admins and team admins follow each learner's certificate, download certificates, and download the evidence package in the course's progress view — see Learner progress and certificates. Learners download their own certificate from the course.

What blocks a certificate

A blocked learner shows the reason, and the fix is the reason itself:

  • Organization: Organization profile turned off, Organization profile incomplete.
  • Course: Course not published, Certification turned off for this course, Course setup incomplete.
  • Content: No live modules; for FUNDAE also Course has modules that are not live, Duration unavailable, or Duration is zero. Build the missing modules, or restore the withdrawn ones, and publish an update.
  • The learner: Learner identity missing (the FUNDAE DNI/NIE, entered in the learner's panel and reused across courses), Enrollment missing, or Modules incomplete.

Because only live modules count for Standard, an update that makes another module live means a learner who has not been certified yet has that module to complete too. A certificate already issued is not affected.

Evidence

The evidence package gathers documents for the audit that usually follows regulated training: Certificates, Participant register, Course guide, Certificate delivery report, and Individual learning tracking reports. It includes only learners who have an issued certificate.

Not available yet

An issued certificate is final: correcting, revoking, or renewing one is not available.
