Branding your modules
Where your organization's branding comes from, and what it changes in the modules you build.
Modules play in your organization's colours instead of a generic look. Vidext takes those colours from your company website. This page explains where they come from, what they change, and what to do if they are wrong.
Where branding comes from
When your organization is created from a work email, or once you give your company's website in its guided start, Vidext reads your public pages in the background. From them it builds a branding profile: your colour palette and how your brand presents itself.
If a reading fails, the branding you already have stays as it is.
Public pages only
Vidext reads only your public website. It needs no credentials and does not open anything behind a login.
What it changes
The module player takes the more vivid of your profile's main and accent colours, and derives the module's background from it. This applies to every module your organization plays.
In a course whose pictures are photographs, the agents also use up to three of your palette's colours for what your staff wear and for your own vans and premises, unless the course says how they look. Customers and patients wear their own clothes, protective equipment keeps its safety colour, and no picture carries your logo. Drawings do not use your colours.
Branding sets colours only. The screens' layouts and type are Vidext's own, the same for every organization. The look of a course's pictures does not come from your branding either: the agents choose it for each course, and you can ask for another. See The look of the pictures.
If your organization has no public website, or Vidext could not read it, modules use Vidext's default colours.
What it does not change
- The Branding colour in your organization's settings does not change how modules look.
- There is no way to read your website again from the product. If you rebranded or moved to a new site, talk to the Vidext team.
